Transform clipboard text on a Mac before you paste
Hotstash can change what you copied before you paste it. Open your history with ⌘⇧V, select an item, and pick a transform such as Format JSON, UPPERCASE, Base64, or Clean link. The result goes on your clipboard. There are 30+ built in, image transforms too, and you can give favourites their own shortcut.

Step by step
- Copy the text or image as usual.
- Press ⌘⇧V and select the item.
- Open Transform and pick one. The result replaces what's on your clipboard, ready for ⌘V.
Shortcuts for the ones you use most
In Settings → General → Quick Transforms, give up to five transforms a global shortcut. Press it in any app and the current clipboard is transformed in place.
Need one that doesn't exist?
Describe it with an example ("turn 'Jane Doe' into 'doe.jane'") and Hotstash writes it, then checks it against your example. You can also install transforms other people made from the transform marketplace. Transforms are part of Hotstash Pro, free to try for 30 days.
Questions
How do I format JSON from my clipboard on a Mac?
Copy the JSON, open Hotstash with ⌘⇧V, select it, and choose Format JSON. The formatted version is put on your clipboard.
Can I change text case without opening an editor?
Yes. Hotstash's case transforms (UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case) work on whatever you copied, from any app.
Do transforms work on iPhone?
Yes. The iPhone app and the Hotstash keyboard include the text transforms, so you can insert a transformed version of any clip.
